Technical Management

ISN’s nautical and technical expertise is evident and justifiable in every matter pertaining to shipmanagement.

During the last few years we have contracted more than 40 newbuildings which have been successfully placed in the market and, with the extensive experience gained, we are competent in dealing with dockyards and classification societies anywhere in the world. Latest technology on deck, on the bridge and in the engine room is continuously being followed up and evaluated.

Our technical department is manned with highly skilled personnel with mainly seagoing experience, who receive constant training in order to keep-up with the latest technology and changes in rules and regulations. Our skilled staff can undertake newbuilding projects and all the technical aspects of a vessel. The fields of technical support and preventive maintenance are enhanced in their effectiveness by our computer based maintenance scheme and engine data monitoring program, which have been developed over a period of many years in cooperation with Spectec in AMOS since 1994 with continuous upgrading regularly.

In our effort to increasingly improve and rationalize maintenance of ships, we have entered recently into a project to test, and consequently implement throughout the fleet, a Condition monitoring Based Maintenance principle (CBM).
