Commercial Management
Intership was one of the first companies in Cyprus to set up a fully fledged chartering and operations department in the early nineties, successfully operating the company’s own vessels and chartered-in tonnage.
The commercial operation has traditionally spanned vessel size ranges from 4000mt dwat to 40,000mt dwat, mainly in the dry bulk and general cargo segments.
The chartering department is proud of its close, long-term relation to many large players in the industry. ISN is often considered the preferred carrier, and charters are fixed for cargoes which are not quoted in the market.
Profound knowledge of charter party terms is one of the foundations on which ISN’s operations department is based. The department is made up of operators with long years of experience in the agency business and at sea, backed up by operators with a legal background.
Today the operations department is chartering out and operating a substantial part of the own fleet, and is actively involved in the management of commercial pools.
The pool management covers the chartering, operation and financial management of the pools. Transparent pool administration and management tools keep pool members up-to-date at any given time. One of the pools managed by the company is the MCP Mini Container Pool (www.mcp.com.cy)
